Processed meats do cause cancer – WHO

Processed meats – such as bacon, sausages and ham – do cause cancer, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

Its report said 50g of processed meat a day – less than two slices of bacon – increased the chance of developing colorectal cancer by 18%.

Meanwhile, it said red meats were “probably carcinogenic” but there was limited evidence.

The WHO did stress that meat also had health benefits.

Cancer Research UK said this was a reason to cut down rather than give up red and processed meats.

And added that an occasional bacon sandwich would do little harm.

AUTHOR COMMENT: Although there appears to be something genuine about this latest ‘research,’ the track record of the WHO, the influence of Food Inc and of course Big Corporations leads me personally to take this article with ‘a pinch of salt.’ ( Funny huh!)
For those who have arrived at their own conclusions so much of this advise steers people first in one direction and then in another in search of the perfect diet, meanwhile they remain victims of forces who don’t have their best interests at heart. Yes I am cynical of advise, particularly of these huge entities.

The only true way to establish truth is to find out for oneself by experimenting and digging into knowledge.

CELEBRATING 200 BLOG POSTS! 5 Remarkable Facts About the Future of Health Care

Yes, this is the 200th blog post from ‘Whats New in Natural Health.’

very proud indeed to have persisted, and I hope some of the posts have left you better informed.

I thought to celebrate the 200th post I would post something about the possible future. Many of these blog posts are tough, and almost depressing, there seems to be so much bad news.

But its not all bad by any stretch. And so here is a post from entrepreneur.com about 5 possible changes in the future.

Thank you to YOU for reading this blog, it is excellent to do this and for it to be received.

The Article:

To most people, “the robot doctor” sounds like the title of a terrible sci-fi movie. But it’s an integral part of the future of health care.

The data revolution is already transforming the health care landscape, and if you want to help shape its future (and make a profit in the process), be prepared to capitalize on these five exciting trends:

1. Preventive medicine will soar.

As information from electronic medical records becomes available in the cloud, health care tasks are moving online. And the digitalization of diagnoses has implications for predictive and preventive medicine.

By registering slight increases in temperature or detecting the early symptoms of a virus, sensors will make it easy for people to take care of themselves before they get sick.

The Monsanto Effect

Monsanto Story – a personal story from a friend.

I have a friend who comes from New Zealand. I saw her yesterday and she said her father, who is in his 70’s, is suffering from dementia.images-2 This, I know, can be relatively common for old people given the toxic life many live, but the fats in this instance are somewhat questionable.
The father used to work, many years ago, with a team of 4 other people, directly with Monsanto’s fertiliser products, back in the early days when they were experimenting. They all had contact with the chemicals, I think it was in the 1970s and 80s.
Well it might be coincidental but 3 out of the 5 now have dementia, and as far as they are concerned, apparently, its directly because of the contact they had with Monsanto products.
That is the very tip of the Monsanto Effect Iceberg, a colossal global impact on healNeo_stops_bullets_2th of humans, animals and nature.
It really is time this monstrosity was stopped.
